About Clearpoint Home & School

Throughout the years, we have been fortunate to have had a good mix of experienced Home & School members who know what’s tried, tested and true, and newer members who bring new ideas and insight to our ventures. All this allows us to provide continuous, evolving and effective support to our school community.

Volunteers

Who We Are

Our executive committee is comprised of volunteer members who have been nominated/elected to the following roles:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Membership
  • Secretary
  • Communications
  • Member-at-Large

Though these members tend to drive and support the direction of Home & School for the year, decisions that regard activities, events, fundraisers and the like are voted and decided upon by all present Home & School members in good standing and not just the executive.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful community at Clearpoint. I joined Home & School to give back to the community and to actively participate in enriching my children's time at school. Joining Home & School gives you a voice in the activities and fundraising that betters the school. It is also an excellent way to meet parents from all grades, and get to know the staff. You choose how much time you put into volunteering - every little bit helps! Every year I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish next.

I’m a proud mom of three energetic boys!

My involvement with the Home & School community began in 2019, when my eldest started kindergarten. Since then, it has been a truly rewarding journey.

Being part of this association has allowed me to connect with like-minded parents and contribute to organizing events that create meaningful experiences for our children and families. Seeing the joy these initiatives bring, and the positive impact they have on our school community, continues to motivate me to stay actively involved.

I am grateful to be part of such a supportive and engaged group, and I look forward to continuing to help foster a strong sense of community for our students and families.

I have a daughter currently in grade 5. I joined H&S when my daughter was in Kindergarten in order to become a member of the school community. I value education and wanted to demonstrate this to my child. It also allows me to support amazing teachers and staff who are contributing their best for our community.By getting involved at Clearpoint you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes.

I joined Home and School 4 years ago when my oldest son had just started kindergarten. I joined because I wanted to be involved in the Clearpoint community and have more presence at my kids’ school. Since then I have had such a wonderful experience meeting fellow Clearpoint parents and getting involved in all sorts of activities that make Clearpoint an incredible school. I now have 2 kids at Clearpoint (grade 3 and K5) and look forward to many years of helping out!

Secretary

I joined the home and school committee when my daughter transferred to Clearpoint three years ago. I wanted a chance to meet other parents, be aware of what was going on in the school community, and have a chance to improve the services and activities for our kids.

It has been a great experience as I have met lots of great people, and my daughter and I really enjoy volunteering side by side at school events.

I’m originally from Ontario where I worked in municipal government, but transitioned to the food industry since living in Quebec. I love music, art, and dance (now a proud dance mom), and spending time outdoors along the water where we live in Lachine.

Join us! We’d love to have you on the committee!

I joined home and school to take advantage of this incredible opportunity to be involved in my kids' education. I am a mom of 2 boys (my oldest is in grade 5 and my youngest is in K5).

Clearpoint continues to impress me with its open-minded approach and compassionate values. The parent community is warm and kind. I have yet to meet a Clearpoint parent who doesn't truly care about their kids' education and well-being.

As a parent, I am passionate about cultural inclusivity, neurodiversity, and mental health awareness. As a member of H&S, I champion programming that fosters social-emotional learning, creative expression, early literacy, and STEM skills.

I’m a mom of two boys in Grades 5 and 6, and I joined Home & School to feel more connected to the Clearpoint community. I wanted to get to know the school better, support the amazing teachers and staff, and help make the elementary school experience even better for all our kids. Being part of Home & School is a great way to use your skills and interests for a good cause—your child and our whole community.

As a parent of a 2026 Grad, I can't believe this is our last year at Clearpoint! Our family moved to Quebec in 2021, as my son was entering grade 2, and I joined Home & School hoping to get to know the school and the parent community. I am so happy I made this decision! Not only is it a great way to meet parents, teachers and staff, but you get to have a voice in what activities, events and programs are offered to our kids outside of the classroom. I was amazed by the number and diversity of things H&S supports.

Many parents don't think they have the time to commit, but you can do as much or as little as your schedule allows. We're always in need of more hands and ideas and every contribution to our school community is appreciated. I hope you'll join us in making Clearpoint Elementary an even better school for our kids!
