Get Involved
Getting involved with our Home & School is the simplest way to make a real difference in our children’s school experience.
You don’t need to take on a position on our executive to contribute…though we won’t turn you down. Sharing your perspective at a meeting, joining a planning committee to ensure everything stays on track for a chosen event, signing up for a one- or two- hour commitment to ensure an activity runs well, or coming to an event and participating are all essential pieces in our success.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- you don’t need to be on a planning committee to sign up for a task
- you don’t need to be available for an event to be on a committee
- you don’t need to commit to more than one thing at one event for the entire year
Come to a meeting: just because you come to this month's meeting doesn't mean you are committing to coming to every meeting.
Join a committee: put your skills to use and get to know some of the other parents a bit better in the process.
Show up for one task: sign up to set up tables, or sell tickets, or serve drinks. We will welcome you with open arms and make sure you have all the pertinent details when you get there. Kids are always welcome to join and lend a hand.
Volunteer Sign-up
If you prefer to be more hands-on, volunteering for an activity, whether it’s helping at an event, joining a committee, or lending a skill behind the scenes, is a great way to meet other families and strengthen our school community. No matter how much time you have, there’s a role for you, and every contribution adds up.
